Obioma Nnaemeka will present the speech, a reception held in conjunction with the Sheldon’s “First Friday” series will follow. Nnaemeka is a professor of French, Women’s Studies, and African/African Diaspora Studies at the University of Indiana-Indianapolis and current of the President of the Association of African Women Scholars. She has taught and published extensively on literature, women’s/gender studies, women in development, global feminisms, women in non-Western cultures, and African/African Diaspora studies.
