Farmers’ Market Celebrates 25 Years

The Farmers’ Market is a long standing tradition in Lincoln.  For years, vendors have supplied fresh vegetables, baked goods and crafts to the public making the Haymarket’s Farmers’ Market a staple in many locals’ weekend routines.

With over 200 vendors, the market has something to offer everyone.  “The vendors are the secret to a successful Farmers’ Market, they are loyal to what they do,” said Market Manager Linda Hubka.

Today, the Farmers’ Market is a well known and recognized community event featuring live entertainment each week.  The atmosphere is full of color, fun and great food.  On July 24th the Farmers’ Market will recognize its 25th Anniversary.

A celebration will be held in honor of the Farmers’ Market Anniversary at 9:00 AM on July 24th in Iron Horse Park on 7th & Q Street.  July 24th will officially be proclaimed “Farmers’ Market Day” in Lincoln by Mayor Chris Beutler.  As always local vendors will be on hand serving up favorites as well as cupcakes to celebrate the anniversary.  There will be live entertainment throughout the morning.

The Farmers’ Market is open on Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon in The Haymarket through Saturday, October 9th.
